Eternal Life for Latter-day Saints: A Comparison of the Bible's Eternal Life & Mormonism's Exaltation

Humans have argued for millennia about how one might gain eternal life. One perspective on this is represented by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose religion teaches one earns eternal life through great effort and striving towards perfection. Another perspective is presented by God in the Scriptures, that Jesus offers the gift of eternal life freely.These two perspectives on how to gain eternal life are irreconcilable. This can be seen in three areas: the giver, the gift, and the gain. The Latter-day Saint Church contradicts the Bible's teachings on all three of these points. Each section of this booklet will show where and how they deviate for the edification of both Christians and questioners alike to better understand the differences between Christianity and Mormonism.
