"I had thought for a good while that the luck was long gone." Last year was... pretty wild. Gas station holdups. Dandelions. Sheriffs. But the rest of the summer has been tame--it's been months since any bad guys cropped up--and Charm Falls (not to mention Aubrey White's mother) is breathing easier. But Aubrey knows something is not right. Rabbit is not Rabbit, these days. He's glum, restive. He seems to be waiting for something. But the scary stuff is over... right?
