Like many twenty-somethings, Forsythia Shea sought her fortune in Manhattan. With visions of success and luxury, she jettisoned her tedious post-grad New Hampshire lifestyle in exchange for life on the Upper West Side. Still wrestling with the visions of witnessing her father's suicide, her own life is in disarray. Her dad died by his own hand as an aging IRA operative with a secret. After a usual night of heavy drinking, Forsythia finds herself at her best friend's door step begging for help after she stole her boss' briefcase out of frustration. In fear of prosecution, she begs her aging aunt to take her in.
