About the Author Dorothy Kelley Patterson (ThD, University of South Africa; DMin, Luther Rice Seminary) a homemaker, has helped her husband Paige Patterson, formerly president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, serving as professor of theology in women's studies for almost four decades in three institutions. With graduate and postgraduate degrees in theology, Dr. Patterson teaches, speaks, and writes for women. She is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, serves on the founding board for the Council for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, and attends Birchman Baptist Church. The Pattersons have moved to Plano, Texas, but travel extensively throughout the world. Their children Armour and Rachel Patterson live in Texas and Carmen and Mark Howell, with their daughters Abigail and Rebekah, live in Texas as well.
