Hildy and Harold Take on the Teasers

This is an early reader children's first chapter book introducing the loveable Hildy and her best friend Harold. Hildy is an Irish name for warrior. Her plush eight-legged horse is just like the one ridden by the Norse god Odin. His name, Harold, is Norse for army and Hildy can always count on him to follow her into her imaginary battles. Hildy is excited for her perfect first day of school until the teacher calls her name and the classroom bursts into laughter. Her Swedish middle name happens to be "Hicca" which sounds a little too close to Hiccup. Hildy and Harold spend the afternoon planning how they will take on these goblin Teasers. It will be an all-out battle. When Hildy and Harold return to school the next day she realizes that her classmates are just as scared about being teased. Instead of a battle she decides the best way to take on the teasers is with compassion and understanding for the feelings of others and that friendship is a two-way street.
