When he was eight years old the author found out that he was adopted. His anger and the drive to prove to the world that he was just as good as anybody else drove him through the darkness of PTSD, multiple marriages, and alcoholism into the light of self-worth and family. His self-determination led him to study the path of his ancestors, from 13th century battles, and royal kingdoms of Wales through the 17th century immigration of ancestors to frontier America, to modern times. Along the way were many adventures both good and bad, that formed who he is today. This book is a humorous and insightful recounting of those challenges, setbacks, and victories.
