The church records from San Augustin de la Isleta, the church at Isleta Pueblo, provide some of the earliest documentation of New Mexico ancestors. This book of extracted records includes marriages from 1726 through 1846, and baptisms from 1730 through 1776, and 1829 through 1842. Records of baptisms and marriages are some of the most valuable records for genealogical and historical researchers. The marriage portion of this book includes an index of grooms and deceased husbands as well as an index of brides and deceased wives. There is a combined index for parents named in the baptismal and the marriage records. The baptismal records are also indexed by the name of the infant and by the names of godparents, grandparents, and others.All proceeds of books produced and sold by the New Mexico Genealogical Society help the society preserve the rich history of New Mexico and New Mexico ancestors.
