Description:

This book is written in the opinion of Alan Roberts. WARNING: IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE, DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. It's not for you. *This book is for people who believe good health is more important than polite presentation.*This is a book for people who believe that “tough love” is better medicine than amputation of both legs at 40 because of early onset diabetes. This is a book for people who want to see their kids grow up and get married, to see their grandkids born, and to be healthy and mobile enough to enjoy the entire journey. This is a book for people who want to get their weight under control, once and for all.Just one thing:If the terms “very overweight” or “obese” apply to you, you need to start today. Not tomorrow, or after the holidays, or when your friend starts with you.Today.If you are obese, you are actively shortening your life and making the years you have less enjoyable by wrapping yourself in a self-made prison made of your own body fat.We live in a politically correct culture, where groups like the “Fat Acceptance Movement” try to tell people that they are ok at any size. What medical science, statistics, and, most importantly, reality, state, are that while a person can still be a great individual with a loving heart, they are hurting themselves by staying in an obese state. This can be seen and understood almost instantly with one press of an enter key after typing the words “chronic obesity illness” into a search browser.Anyone who tells an obese person that they are healthy at any weight is not only demonstrating an ignorant dismissal of the truth, I personally believe it is a form of bullshit like no other. Statements like this, frankly, kill people (in my opinion, of course). Believing statements like these shortens lives, takes mothers and fathers away from their kids, and robs grandchildren of ever getting to know their grandparents. The people that say “don’t worry about your weight” to an obese person are even worse than the money-hungry gurus with the 5-minute abs commercials who profit off the ignorant. At least with the guru, some activity is involved. These people rob an obese or overweight person of the reasons to get healthy, because the person who is obese or overweight WANTS to believe the lie. The lie is: that they do not need to get healthy. That there is literally nothing wrong with them; that a large pizza is normal to eat 5 times a week. That is one of the reasons why I decided to write this book: to put out in VERY simple terms, because I am a very simple man, the math and knowledge that a person needs when they decide it is time for a change; when they decide to trade in all the inevitable ailments, pains, and chronic illnesses that come with being overweight and obese in exchange for an active and happy life, where they can finally shop at stores that make clothes for normal sized folk.My final words to all of you struggling with your weight, past, present, or future:Only you can take ownership of your weight, your life, and your future. That’s because only you can care enough to make the changes in your life that you know need to be made. Nobody else is going to lose the weight for you. And if you’re still reading this far, then you know this other truth, too: no amount of drugs, surgery, or mental brainwashing will work either. It’s up to you.And when you’re ready, this book will be there to help.Remember…Fitness is not owned by anyone. It is rented, and the rent is due Every Damn Day.- Alan Roberts, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Weight Loss Specialist, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist; bestselling author of “F*ck Being Fat: Solve Your Weight Problems Once and For All With Math and Willpower,” founder of Every Damn Day Fitness, and Co-Founder of the Damn Collective with his wife Crystal.
