How The Church Lost The Way ... and how it can find it again

Why did the early church split over a single Latin Word? Why is there a painting of Plato and Aristotle in the Vatican? Why do we meet in churches? Why were the descendants of the apostles so hated? Why are priests celibate? Why is the Bible so misunderstood? Why is the Western Church in decline?

Why so many questions?

The Church has been thoroughly infiltrated by a pagan virus that, after first attacking and destroying the roots of our great faith, has worked its way through every facet of our Christian life, from doctrine to rituals and from practices to attitudes. Our forefathers sat back and allowed it, even encouraged it. Will we do the same or are we bold enough to fight the infection, prune the tree and recover those lost roots? Only then can the Church in the West move forward, fulfill its destiny and perhaps even see true revival.

Surely the best place to rediscover our roots is not through the Reformers, or the Church Fathers, or the Puritans, or through any other staging post in the Church s journey, but to return to the very beginning, to the mindset and beliefs of Jesus and His disciples, the Hebrew roots of our Christianity.

This could be the most important book you read this year (apart from the Bible). It is time to get real with God.
