Interviews with Artists

Bill Powers' first non-fiction book, Interviews With Artists, is a collection of Q&As ranging from art world legends like Ed Ruscha, George Condo, and Jeff Koons, to newer talent such as Nate Lowman, Rashid Johnson, and Adam McEwen (whose painting graces the cover). Many of these conversations were originally published in Purple Fashion magazine (Dave Hickey, Peter Beard, Damien Hirst with Jay-Z), but several were conducted specifically for this volume (Tom Sachs, Ryan McGinely, Julian Schnabel).
