Thomas Mun, The Complete Works: Economics and Trade
Description:
Thomas Mun, The Complete Works: Economics and Trade contains both Mun’s earliest work, 'A Discourse of Trade from England unto the East Indies' (1621) which first revealed his mercantilist ideas on economics and trade to the public, and also his hugely influential second work, 'England’s Treasure by Foreign Trade' (1664) which developed those ideas, became known as the gospel of finance and commercial policy, and ruled the economic policies of Europe for over a century. Thomas Mun (1571-1641) was a successful merchant, and a director of the East India Company. Probably the most well known of the mercantilist writers, he is also considered to be one of the most enlightened.
