In this interesting and imaginative novel, Mary Keith Boyack explored the biblical story of Joseph. In her narrative, the author reconstructs many of the details and reveals characters that are only hinted at in the biblical version. Boyack will cause the reader to contemplate Joseph's triumph over almost insurmountable challenges, and will lead to a greater appreciation of the patriarch Joseph as our spiritual forefather. The author bring Joseph to life in the retelling of his story, and the reader will sorrow with Joseph as he experiences betrayal and is parted from his family; will thrill as he successfully navigates the intrigues of Potiphar's house and Pharaoh's court; will warm to the cortship of his beloved Asenath and the birth of his sons; and will rejoice as Joseph's faith ultimately triumphs over despair.
