Emily Thomas is a successful New York attorney who has left her childhood back in Pueblo, Colorado behind her. She lives well and is happy with her partner, Rebecca. All of that changes with a simple phone call from her brother. Beth Sayers was Emily's best friend from the time they were children until the day Beth left Emily stunned, confused, and alone in a college dorm room ten years later.
