Freedom in the Twenty-First Century

Gilbert's poetry appears in Word and Witness: One Hundred Years of North Carolina Poetry. She is a founder of the Greensboro Group, which was the forerunner of North Carolina Writers' Network, a recipient of the Sam Ragan Fine Arts Award, and a former president of the North Carolina Poetry Society.
