Basic Economics

When I first encountered this book in the early 1990s, it had a profound impact upon me. I never had been so spell bound by a book. The author's style is what kept me so spell bound. I have re-read it several times. I have also read many of the author's other books on related subject. This is by no means the only book one should read on economics. But it would be without hesitation the book that I would recommend for someone if they were to ask me where to get started in economics. I would make this a required course in middle school classrooms; no middle school graduation until this class is taken and PASSED. This would put one in good stead for the future brainwashing about economics one is subjected to in colleges and out in the public re: news/entertainment media. h-13
