Blessed Kateri and the Cross in the Forest

The Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha was a great mystic because she was a simple child. A Native American tought by French missionaries, she never quite recovered from her serious illness, and she lost both her parents andher brother -- but she learned to love Christ with all her heart, and the thing she loved best was to wander off into the forest and pray.
