The Architecture of Kallmann McKinnell & Wood

From its remarkable debut as winner of the 1962 Boston City Hall design competition through its continued work in civic, institutional, and academic architecture, Kallmann McKinnell & Wood Architects, Inc. (KMW) has enjoyed an outstanding international reputation for excellence in design and project management. Among its many laurels the firm has received the AIA Firm of the Year Award (1984), and, recently, a poll of historians and architects sponsored by the AIA voted KMW's founding project, the Boston City Hall, the sixth greatest building in American History.
