Hawaiian Railway Album Volume 3 -- Plantation Railways on Oahu

This is a rare collection of 105 photos covering seven railway systems in Oahu during World War II. The vintage scenes in this book include steam locomotives, rolling stock, right-of-ways, engine facilities and much more. The railways featured in this volume are: Honolulu Plantation Co., Aiea -- 36" gauge; Oahu Sugar Co., Waipahu -- 36" gauge; Ewa Plantation Co., Ewa -- 36" gauge; Waianae Sugar Co., Waianae -- 30" gauge; Waialua Agricultural Co., Waialua -- 36" gauge; Kahuku Plantation Co., Kahuku -- 36" gauge; and the Waimanalo Sugar Co., Waimanalo -- 36" gauge. There are also seven rosters and two full-page maps showing the railroads on Oahu. WWII Photographs by WWII servicemen: Victor Norton, Jr., Bill Blewett, Bob Zinsmeister, Grant Oakes, Jr., Kent Cochrane and Vitaly Uzoff.
