The Men of Crooked River

The cinch on the rope was broken. This time Lem's luck ran out-a saddle hung up in the brush with a mad bull at the end of the rope with three bullet holes in it. How did Lem ever get his gun out? Ben Summers, the tough young ranch foreman for the Big Crooked River Ranch, who discovers the body, is out of a job when the ranch is sold. He travels to see the country, stopping in Sweetwater where he finds a job working for Belle Sawyer, owner of the Bar S Ranch. Belle lost her husband the year before and the ranch has been slowly losing money. Ben assists Belle and becomes suspicious of one of her riders. A great western with all the elements of the genre-a hero, action, and romance.
