While waiting out a tornado in the storm cellar, Laura recalls another time of danger when she was young and lost in the forest. Laura recollects that she and her father are involved in a traffic accident while traveling to another town. When she regains conciousness her father is gone. Rather than remain with the car and wait for her father to return, Laura decides to look for him and is lost. A mysterious man discovers her and they journey through the forest to find her father. They encounter perils, yet find joy along the way. Unknown to Laura, this mystery man holds the key to her past and to her future. His presence and her memories of childhood dreams reveal an old secret and life for Laura will never be the same.
