Memories from Delaware Bay

This is the eighth book written by the author about incidents in the lives of people who chose to earn their livelihood from Delaware Bay. The stories are about Delaware City, Pea Patch Island, Fort Mott at Finns Point, N.J., Indian River Inlet, and many other areas along the bay's shore. Many of the people mentioned in this book are only memories from bygone era. Today, it's difficult to believe all the activity that once occurred on the bay. Over one hundred watermen still work on the Delaware side of the bay fishing, crabbing, harvesting oysters and other sea food from this unpredictable body of water. Some still follow in their father's footsteps and trap muskrats for additional income. Wharves where many dozens of work boats once docked and the activities that occurred are only a memory attested to by rotting pilings.
