This book introduces more than 20 Indigenous artists of Australia from the Kimberley, Arnhem Land and the southern river and desert plains. It provides photographic portraits, color artworks, short biographies, Indigenous stories, and many other details in a highly accessible and engaging yet also thorough way, providing insights into this culture with an unbroken history of some 60,000 years.



The title Everywhere, Everywhen is a reference to the Indigenous concept of The Dreaming and time itself, which sees past, present, and future as being co-existent but on different plains, a fascinating concept very different to Western perceptions of chronology. The book further details how sites and features of the natural landscape, as well as certain cultural practices and ceremonies, provide, according to Indigenous beliefs, portals into these different realms.
