50 Tunes by Turlough O’Carolan: Arranged by Dennis Doyle

Turlough O'Carolan was a traveling Irish harpist who lived from 1670 to 1738. Born in West Meath, Ireland, he caught smallpox while a teenager and was left permanently blind. Though blind, he had a gift for music. Carolan was trained in the harp and started a long career as an itinerant musician. In his lifetime, he composed dozens of tunes, putting an Irish spin on the popular baroque music of the time. This book includes simple music arrangements of 50 of his lovely tunes suitable for whistle, flute, fiddle, Celtic harp with accompanying chords.
