The Southern Way: Issue No. 16

The next installment in the ever-popular Southern Way series, Kevin Robertson brings readers another fantastic new title. The lead article in this volume includes a feature on the station at Singleton. Here was a location born out of a belief it could successfully serve the nearby Goodwood racecourse, and yet apart from a brief flurry of activity, was destined to be one of the quietest of rural backwaters. Other projected articles are on the Catford Loop and the hilarious reminiscences of a former lamp-lad turned fireman from Andover/Salisbury. There is also a wonderful feature on Downton, seen through the eyes of the daughters of the former porter-in-charge. Issue 16 will of course include all our regular features.
