The Great Northern Things: A Cultural Journey at Beamish Museum

The material culture of the North East of England represents some of the richest in the British Isles embodying the strength of the many coalmining communities of the Great North Coalfield. The Beamish Museum plays a major role in the preservation of this rich heritage through its collections of national and international importance and this volume highlights much of this material culture from these collections.
