Argyll : The Enduring Heartland

The county of Argyll covers a huge area of land and sea. With its many islands, its miles of Atlantic coastline and its fertile glens it was one of the earliest parts of Scotland to be settled by prehistoric peoples. Later as the centre of the kingdom of Dalriada it was at the heart of the foundation of the emerging Scottish nation.
