This publication documents the first thoroughly researched retrospective of works by the James Henderson (1871-1951) and is lavishly illustrated with portraits and landscape paintings. Born in Glasgow, Henderson moved to Canada in 1910. Living in Fort Qu Appelle, Saskatchewan, he was commissioned by the University of Saskatchewan to paint a series of portraits of individuals of the Western tribes. These portraits were exhibited nationally and internationally throughout his lifetime.
