Art Warrior

In this book, Zbigniew Kupczynski documents the important events in both his private and public life, including the occupation in Poland during World War II and his study of art in Paris. He describes the turbulent times during the era of social realism in Polish art when he dared to hang his abstract art on the old walls of the Barbakan, which joined the Old City with the New. Later it became a famous exhibition space and drew many more artists.
