Pitch Before Power

Dr. Jim Russell's new book, Pitch Before Power, is a picture book for children and adults. The book deals with the theme of challenging the Naysayer. The main character, Carrie Walker, is a young woman who is trying to fit into a male dominated world. She is a pilot, and she wants to have the opportunity to fly over Mount Naysayer-the tallest around. No one has been able to fly over Naysayer yet! She is told that women shouldn't fly. But, Carrie is resilient and determined. And, just like many children who have achieved success, Carrie is not going to quit.
