Race to the Moonrise: An Ancient Journey

Set around 1200 AD, two Native American children must travel afoot on a dangerous journey from their northern Mexico home to what is now present day Chimney Rock, Colorado, to save The People of the Far North. In the process, they visit the Mogallon, Hohokam, Sinagua, and Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi). Third or fourth graders will love the story while learning about Ancient Indian cultures.
