Diabetes education and program management (A core curriculum for diabetes education)

The chapters in this Core Curriculum on Diabetes Education and Program Management are concerned with the content of diabetes self-management education programs; that is, they discuss the knowledge and skills to be acquired by persons with diabetes. This program will assist the patient in their acquisition of knowledge and skills, their attitudes about diabetes, their motivation to practice appropriate diabetes self-care, their willingness and ability to change behavior, and their degree of psychosocial adjustment to diabetes.
