Lucky Shanty Town Girl

A girl named Melissa O'Hara, born during the great depression found her way out of poverty by work and self determination. She had help from an unknown source even so, she was still considered as the girl from the other side of the tracks. A girl who lost her mother and nearly lost her father in the hardest of times yet with tatter clothes, dressed like a boy, she walked the railroad tracks searching for left over coal to heat the shanty town shack she and her father called home.
