Pathways for Mentoring Diversity: Critical Reflections for Transformative Adult Education

The author presents an innovative approach toward diversity and oppression by encouraging the participants to act as experts on the subjects. In keeping with models of adult educational theory, the author lets classes of undergraduate students identify and exemplify what oppression is, revealing eight categories of oppression and eight primary reactions that students have toward their oppressions. The book ends with excerpts from student reflection papers and comments from researchers who apply similar discoveries to their study of oppression in society. The book encourages the reader to study their own life to liberate their own potential.
