Solomons of the Sierra: The Pioneer of the John Muir Trail

Theodore S. Solomons was a charter member of both the Sierra Club and the American Alpine Club. He knew John Muir, Will Colby, Walter Starr, and Francis Farquhar. In the 1890s he explored the Sierra from Yosemite to Kings Canyon-and discovered the route that became the northern part of the John Muir Trail.
