Mom and Me

KT lives with her mother in a single parent family. She shares her feelings of anger, sadness, and loneliness. She is also thankful that her family is no longer experiencing the bad times that happened before her parents' divorce. KT and her Mom must work as a team, cooperating and taking personal responsibility while recognizing the needs of both parent and child. This book is designed to assist the child in establishing a nurturing mother/child relationship as well as minimizing involvement in conflicts between parents. The activities allow children to examine their feelings and help them face the difficult issues that accompany divorce. (Grades 3-4)
