Feelings and Faces

Mrs. Gomez's students experience a range of feelings when they spend the day at the zoo. Their feelings are expressed through rhythm and rhyme (I'm badly hurt, I fell in the dirt"). The interactive nature of the book allows the readers to explore and understand their own feelings through open-ended questions, coloring how they feel, matching feelings, scrambled words, and completion exercises. This book will introduce readers to a broad range of emotions and relate these feelings to facial expressions and behavior. (Grades 3-4)
