The 50 wildflowers selected for the Postal Service's Stamps are native to North America or Hawaii, or least precede the arrival of Europeans settlers. the settlers found that many of these plants were part of the native American diets and that the Indians also used part od the plants-roots, tuber, stems, leaves, fruits, or seeds-as medicine or for other practical purpose
