Surface Modification Technologies XIV (Matsci)

As with the past meetings, the papers presented in this proceedings cover a broad spectrum of topics and represent a diverse nature of the field. There were some new formats for this conference. First, there was a session on "Arts and Surfaces' which detailed the tremendous innovations and knowledge of our predecessors, that have been unknown to most practicing engineers. There were also many papers focusing on the applications of surface modification technologies and their relevance to manufacturing.
