Consequences - Stories for Assembly and PSE Looks at the dangers children (9 - 12) could encounter in the world around them. Three types of danger that could affect children s personal safety are covered: Dangers arising from accidental situations, sometimes caused by the results of inappropriate behaviour. Situations caused by children deliberately putting themselves at risk. Situations where children are targeted by others for some kind of abuse. Included in Consequences are: safety at the seaside; drugs, alcohol and smoking; internet chat rooms; fire hazards; cycling without a helmet; dangers of playing on a building site and railway line; physical abuse from someone known; how losing your temper can affect others; being coerced into doing something wrong.
