The People's War

This is one of a series of photographic books, "Pictures From the Past", which has been compiled from the archives of the Hulton-Deutsch collection. Each title in the series covers one aspect of English life in the late-19th or early-20th century and has a short general introduction to set the historical context. The photographs are accompanied by extended captions. This volume offers a pictorial record of English life during World War II. The author is a former editor of "History Today".
