Ishmael My Brother: A Christian Introduction to Islam

Originally published in 1985, this book has proven quite popular and has since gone through a series of further printings. Although extensively revised, it still retains the constructive tone of the original and includes nearly 100 pages of new material in addition to a full chapter on Islamic fundamentalism. There are also many new case studies included. This is a study book with each section having its own points of reflection and guidance for further reading. Section headings include Christians and other faiths; Islamic belief and practice; Cultural, historical and political development; and Islam at the end of the twentieth century. It has proven helpful in dispelling many barriers and prejudices that hinder personal friendships between Muslims and Christians.
