Projects for Spring (Seasonal Projects)

This illustrated series aims to present a wide range of enjoyable activities associated with the seasons of the year. Projects include art and crafts activities, recipes, experiments and games, and cover topics such as the natural world, religious festivals and other special days in the calendar. Aiming to encourage an awareness of spring, this book describes festivals such as Purim, Wesak, May Day, Passover and Holi as well as the changes in the natural world as the weather gets warmer. Projects are suggested to accompany each topic, all of which include step-by-step instructions. The author shows how to make such things as a cress hedgehog, a Wesak lantern, a magic wallet and glove puppets, and gives recipes for seasonal food such as charoset. Ideas for projects to be done outside, in the street, in the park, in the countryside and at the seaside, are included as well as suggestions for helping to conserve and protect wildlife.
