And You Are in Kolkata or Beyond

A renowned artist's personal pictorial odyssey through the land of Kipling, Maharajahs and tea plantations.... And You Are in Kolkata or Beyond is a photographic record of author Jane Graham's trip to India in 2009, following her dream of seeing the country's ancient temples. Rather than recording just the temples, however, she was as struck by what she witnessed between the temples as by the edifices themselves. The tremendous energy of the country is apparent in her images: both in the level of every day industry as well as the passion of the people for their past, their religions, their artefacts, their diversity and their belief in the greater possibilities of the future.
