The third book in the Daughters of a Granite Land trilogy. Polly and Juniper are close friends but sometimes find it hard to get along. Yet when the outbreak of war finds them stranded in France, they find strength in each other, escaping by sea thanks to Juniper's grand connections. The two girls share a house in Belgravia for much of the war and enjoy the high life.
