There was only one clue to the where-abouts of Lane Sauer's brother, Jess: a letter postmarked Saguaro. When Lane first arrived in Saguaro, the hostility that greeted him was nearly total. Was the town hiding something? From his first inquiry about his brother, he knew something was wrong. It didn't take long to find out what it was, and when he knew, he realized that he too might never get out of Saguaro alive.
