Shuttleworth
Description:
At the time he was killed in 1940 while flying for the RAF, aviator Richard Shuttleworth had assembled a modest collection of classic aircraft. Shuttleworth's grief-stricken mother, to whom his estate passed, in turn established the Richard Shuttleworth Trust. Today, those five original airplanes form the core of an outstanding collection of 35 airworthy machines representing the first 50 years of the 20th century. This all-color, authorized tribute to the Shuttleworth collection features a history of the collection and descriptions of the aircraft written by respected aviation author Martin Bowman.
