Ethnic by Design shows how the decorative styles of cultures from around the world can be adapted within any home, whether a large country house or a small urban apartment. Main themes explore the decorative approaches of fourteen cultures - Cowboy, Native American, Mexican, Nordic, Celtic, Tyrolean, Mediterranean, Eastern European, North African, Tribal, Gold Coast, Japanese, Indian and Asiatic. The traditions and background of each style are considered with examples of contemporary European and American interpretations.
