A Warrior's Betrayal: The Life and Death of Green Beret Chester Garrett

In January 1977, highly decorated Army Green Beret Major Chester Garrett's body was found in the desert outside El Pas, Texas; a victim of massive head trauma and multiple stab wounds. One night in El Paso did to Major Garrett what three tours in Viet Nam could not. The Sheriff’s Department, Army CID, and FBI identified several suspects and followed leads of sex, drug trafficking, wide-scale theft, violence, and murder. A year later; no results. For the next twenty-nine years, the case went colder with each passing day. Then in 2006, the case was re-opened and detectives began to chip away at the mountain of greed, deceit, and evil that led to the murder of an American war hero, in the unlikeliest setting.
