Mattress Makers

This Indo-Caribbean and Indo-South American poet continues to explore and examine his Indian roots through language, ritual, and personal associations as a Canadian resident in Florida. The poems pay homage to writers V S Naipaul, Sam Selvon, and Peter Nazareth, and evoke calypso, reggae, Bollywood, taans, and Indian classical-ragic music as well as Indian festivals and "gods."
