Trina Lynch-Jackson is a Social Entrepreneur, a constant seeker of knowledge and her words and stories come from the heart and soul of her lived experiences. She has acquired several degrees and certifications in different disciplines and has transitioned that knowledge into the Higher Education classroom. Students need to see a reflection of themselves in the classroom and know that there is a classroom for them if this is their vision. As a veteran of the US Army when completing her Ed D in Higher Education, her dissertation was on “Community Response to Veterans Overcoming Barriers to Education” and has worked with the Northwest Continuum of Care organization focused on homelessness in Northwest Indiana. Trina is the founding board member of Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults Program (VASIA) and was the 2009 Social Work Student of the Year Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Being the Voice of the Voiceless has been her calling. Voices are heard in storytelling, poetry, quotes and placing pen to paper in journaling.
